RADYO PA NOU
WRPN – 94.7 SCA “THE VOICE OF HAITI”
.....Radyo Pa Nou is
a Sub-carrier of WFME Radio Station operating currently in the
Tri-State area and the State of Pennsylvania with our studio in
Brooklyn, New York on a 24 hours around the clock seven days a week
in three languages: Creole, French and English. In addition, we are
on the Internet at www.radyopanou.com.
.....With the
growing population of Haitian and the Caribbean Communities in the
Tri-State area, there was a need to create an additional medium for
their voices to be heard. As such, In late October 2002, Mr.
Geffrard Jude Joseph the President of Radyo Pa Nou met with some
executive members of WFME in order to take over the frequency of
94.7 SCA. Very quickly it was designated to be the “VOICE OF HAITI”
.....It did not take
time for our audience to grow and to make us very popular. With a
well-organized and competent staff of Broadcasters and DJ’s, we are
now above the competition. Since Radyo Pa Nou is everyone radio
station, we are very please with the responses that we received from
the communities. The diversity and content of our programming have
secured our support among the young, middle age and adult population
in the Caribbean community, mostly the Haitian.
.....With the
political crisis that faces our country, the Haitian community is
always anxious to know what is going on at home and abroad. As such,
we have correspondents in Haiti and in most cities in America and in
Canada to give us the right and accurate information as events are
developed.
.....Since we are a
sub-carrier, a special receptor is needed for our listeners. As
such, in
our two months of operations, we were able to sell more than 10,000
receptors in Brooklyn alone. Since there were over a million of
receivers already in use, our audience is estimated at over two
million listeners.... |
